Sabbioneta again.

Sabbioneta is one of the most magical places I know in Italy. I have visited this little town many times and I always find something interesting to see and photograph.
It was a hot summer afternoon and the streets were more deserted than usual giving the photographs I took a strange atmosphere.
Given the mass tourism hell holes that many places like the Cinque Terre have become, Sabbionetta fortunately has not been “discovered” yet as a place that one “must” visit in Italy, even though it is close to Mantua/Mantova another jewel of a city.
I also came away as usual with a local irresistible delicacy: sbrisolona, a local calorific bomb of a cake.
One thing; do not visit on Monday when the monuments and the Athena bakery is closed.
