The stretch of Apennines between San Pelligrino in Alpe towards Lago Santo (Modena) is at least for the first part a nice easy walk along a low lying part of the Crinale.

As often in the high Apennines I came across a pair of sheepdogs alone guarding a flock of sheep.

The first curious place I came across was the “Giro del Diavolo”, a place of religious significance where sinning pilgrims had to bring a rock to add to a vast pile of rocks.

The rest of the walk has nice views of infinite forests in this part of Tuscany and the “Alpi Apuana”.
